Workshop A

09:30 AM - 12:00 PM DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION PHASE 2: GETTING OVER THE PLATEAU AND KEEPING UP MOMENTUM

Once your innovation agenda hits the ground running one of the first major bumps occurs when the excitement has fizzled out and change has stagnated. Having the right culture and systems in place are critical to getting over the inevitable plateau. This workshop will look at triggers to sustain innovation, incubating ideas, incentivising creativity, capitalising on incremental change, setting up the scene with narrative and other tips and tricks of the trade. The session will assess their impact on sustainable disruptive innovation and also explore solutions to keep up momentum.

12:00 PM - 2:30 PM EXPLORING DESIGN THINKING TO DRIVE INNOVATION AND CHANGE

Design thinking is a human centric approach to innovation and is based on empathy driven strategy. While conventional innovation models are averse to ambiguity that is inherent with change and innovation, design thinking embraces it and works around it. It result is better customer experiences, better products and more effective business model by uncovering latent needs and desires. This session will look into the opportunities offered by design based thinking and how businesses can adopt it to drive innovation and grow market share.
